Well, it’s an extremely good news for all the WhatsApp users. Those who complained about WhatsApp lacking the desired UX factor, may now be elated! In a very short time span, WhatsApp is going to update its chat app to bring long awaited features like Boomerang, Dark Mode, Memoji etc…
The facebook owned WhatsApp is leaving no stone unturned in taking measures that would enable it to take giant leaps in comparisons to its competitors. Not only WhatsApp wants to make the app more user friendly and offer a great user experience, but also is looking to make it more innate. Let’s take a look at few of the new features to be launched by WhatsApp shortly:
Boomerang
Well, it seems Instagram that made Boomerang feature quiet popular among the masses and the classes is going to get a tough competition from WhatsApp as this is going to be shortly introduced by the later. This feature allows users to countlessly loop a video forward and backword, just like a gif.. The best part is, one can share these videos as a direct message with friends or as a “Status update” .Wow! How exciting is this.. I am eagerly waiting to try this out and share with my loved ones. The Dark Mode
We apparently can’t deny the fact the “Dark Mode” is the flavour of the season. The reason why it is popular is that it allows one to put white text on a black background. Making it Crisp and Clear! It’s soothing in the dark environment and definitely a smart way to preserve battery life. Facebook already has this feature and WhatsApp is going to introduce this very soon , for both Android and iOS!
Memoji
Not long back did Apple launch “Memoji” where one can create and customise Animojis’ as and how they prefer. The memoji stickers rebrand the name to “WhatsApp from facebook”. Originally it was launched for the android phones, but thankfully it has trickled down for the iOS users as well. This tag is very much visible in WhatsApps settings and clearly indicates “Facebook” marking its territory!
The Ranking of Contacts
Well, a feature that would be hailed by everybody, even by WhatsApp detractors. Who would not love to have a feature that would enable contacts get ranked based on the frequency of interaction. This feature would definitely make it easier for us to find our most contacted friends..Well, I would be glad if this happens so, wouldn’t you be?
WhatsApp Payment Services
As promised , WhatsApp is slowly progressing towards the launch of its much delayed “Payment services” . Even though it has been in the beta mode for a million users in india, since early 2018, however, the nationwide debut seems to be a far cry! Nonetheless, the long awaited wait is over and is soon going to the see the daylight. Good news for the WhatsApp users and a “reason for sleepless nights” for its competitors like Google pay, Paytm etc. Jokes apart, being a die hard WhatsApp fan, I am waiting for the launch of this feature with bated breath!
Multiplatform Support
Sadly, till date this popular Chat app can be accessed only in two devices, in the desktop via WhatsApp web and in the smart phone. But to make good the losses,
WhatsApp is soon going to introduce the feature wherein it can be accessed via multiple platforms, much to the delight of its users worldwide. It will allow users across the globe to use the same account with the help of the chat history on iOS and Android phones.
Well, it can never be ENOUGH from WhatsApp you see . This is just the beginning of an never-ending adventurous saga!
